This photo has everything, liquid, timing and my friend Teddy in sandals. Today I was in Folkestone (yes I actually did something other than revision) and my friends and I were on the Leas when my friend Dan just kicked these cans because he saw I was trying to get a photo of them, ironic. I also took 3 photos which I have made into a sequence which has alot going on in it, I could not upload the photo directly to here so it is on my flickr (look at the description box to know what is actually happening).

Day #250

The ace of...Great Britain. Today was my last exam for 12 days, I will be spending these revising hard, playing Xbox and hopefully out and about (if the weather is okay). In a cafe today, three of my friends and I were talking about who the best band of all time were, I was arguing for the 'Beatles', my other two friends were arguing for the 'Rolling stones', I'm not sure what your opinion is but nobody is a better all-time band than the Beatles.

Day #249

The daddy guitar, mummy guitar and baby guitar. Or as you may know, classical guitar, ukelele and acoustic guitar...I'm suddenly annoyed because "ukelele" has just been underlined with a red line to say it is spelt wrong. Tonight 'Blogger' the site that I use for my blog betray me and my internet browser, it said that the blog does not support my internet browser and that I need to change to 'Google chrome', I was annoyed at first, but then it downloaded really quick and then has made everything much faster, watching the sneezing panda or fat people falling over has been made much easier, thanks Google.

Day #248



Hello and welcome to the end of the Great British summer. Today I woke up at about 9 (definately not 1 o' clcok) and watched a few videos on youtube. The first one is inspirational, its about the struggle to keep going even though things seem desperate (a slinky going down a treadmill), the second is my favourite band of all time playing ontop of a building as their last gig (Beatles on the apple building) and the third is one of the funniest film clips I could find, ironically I havent even seen the film (a clip from the film 'Yes man'). Please watch those videos as they are well worth the viewing. The photos for today are pretty random as ever, the first is water on a completely dry field. The second photo is of a strange bug on a flower. The third photo is one of the coolest drink ever, lemonnade and ice-cream, best drink I can make, really refreshing.

Dear Europe, we are sorry that we let one of our creepy great-uncles sing (Engelbert Humperdinck) in your singing contest (he must have escaped from the home), please let us keep your lovely warm weather. Today I bought some new walking shoe/boots for walking in Spain this June. when I got home I was looking for something to eat in the cupboards and as mother whats-her-face said "oh gosh, there's nothing in here", my dad then took me to the supermarket to buy some nice food, so thank you for that. Tomorrow I am revising physics and business for my two GCSE exams this week. Also tonight was ITV's 'Soccer aid' whereby celebrities play football against each other, it also involved Gordan Ramsay being picked on which I am all for.

Day #246

2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate? Before you read this, I should tell you that if you scroll to the bottom of the whole page, on the bottom right corner is a box where you can translate my blog into any language that you want to...Irish is fun. Today I had my friends Ben and Teddy over and it was hot, too hot, as if someone is playing a trick on Britain. We mainly got a caffene high, played football and  played guitars until the sun went down. The first picture is only posted because the bokeh (blurrey circles) of my tree in the background is so lovely. The second picture is my friend Ben watching TV, in the middle of a woods. The third is me doing a "boss kick" as Ben calls it in my garden, I have left it tilted for added effect, otherwise its just a lanky kid kicking a ball, and who wanted to see that?

The man behind the machine. Today is he hottest day of the year so far, the news reporter said "how long will this last?"...24 hours maybe? I had my last Spanish exam today which went okay, some guesswork was involved but it was fine. I got home and had no photo so I took this little man. Band practice with Teddy tomorrow, jamming in the sun, nice.

The wonders of the garden. As I listen to some laid back 'Sigur Ros', I watch two horses roll through my tiny little villiage as the sun sets beyond the trees. The week is coming to an end and the dying sun throws the last of it's dense heat into a room where a boy is busily typing. All was quiet. All was peaceful, for this is the end of the day, an end of a generation of mayflies.

Day #243

Help me, I am trapped inside my scanner and I cannot get out. Today I ditched my usual camera (Nikon D3000) and tried using the scanner (which is obviously logical). Okay, so revision wasn't going that well, hence the whole "I'm going to stick my head on my printer and see what happens" thing. I realised that alot of quite good films are actually on youtube, so I watched 'The thin red line' until I realised I have a pretty big exam tomorrow...then I watched a panda sneezing (So cute!).

Day #242

What do you get if you put a lanky kid in an empty field? 20 minutes of trying to take a photo of himself. Today it was hotter outside than it was in my house, once this was realised, I headed out into the middle of nowhere. The two exams I had today went okay, I say okay... The english exam went pretty well I think, but then I just get angry with the business exam, they make up fake people and ask me to tell them how to run their business, for example "some underpaid staff feel unmotivated in Luigi's business, how can Luigi motivate them?" Urm stop spending his time rescuing Princess Peach and actually run the business maybe? Tomorrow I have a day off to revise for English and chemistry on Thursday, tonight I will be trying out some star trails (taking a long exposure and looking at the lines that the stars create).

Day #241

It's a-me, Mario. Yes, we look trajic, and yes my friends wore mustaches through the middle of one of the toughest towns in Britain, but hey, its what study leave is for right? (Definately not). This morning I had my biology exam (saying it like that makes it sound dirty), and it didn't go too badly, afterwards my friends and I headed to the pound shop followed by Macdonalds. Unfortunately Solomon (middle) had decided to buy us all fake mustaches and they wore them all through town - everyone was looking, and when I say everyone, I mean everyone. When we got to Macdonalds, I bowed to peer pressure and put mine on, the most ridiculous one out of the lot. I have some advice about Macdonalds' apple pies, when they say "leave it for ten minutes to cool down because it is piping hot", do not then respond by waiting half a minute before challenging your friend to a "who can eat their apple pie the fastest" competition.

Street art is prominant in Deal. Today The day was spent revising for my biology exam. This evening my parents and I took a walk through Deal when I spotted this little chap on the side of a phone box. The town centre was quiet at half 7 this evening so not many saw a lanky teenager (me) bend down to put his camera on the concrete and get this picture.

The lonliest fly in the world. Today as ever these days I was revising, I listened to the radio as my team (Hibernian FC) lost 5-1 in the Scottish premier league final and then I went on a 3 mile walk through some fields, all I could think about was the film 'The lovely bones', I say it was a walk it was more of a run.

Day #238

The end of compulsory school, the end of an era and a barbeque in the rain. Today was my last day at school, my form tutor gave the year 11s these certificates which are pretty nice, the latin in the second line means "Man up so you will always have the victory". I was sad that it was the last day but hopefully I will be back for sixth form. The work really begins this weekend as I have a huge block of my GCSE exams next week, including Spanish which is not my best subject at all.

Oh its times like these I wish I was artistic to do creations like this^^^, instead, I got my mum to kindly do it, I think you will agree she did very well. Tomorrow is my last official day of compulsory school and so everyone is busily putting a design on their schoolshirt to be signed with names, comments and of course the innevitable penis', followed by a barbeque in the rain, I for one cannot wait.

Exams are coming up, this is not my mood. Tomorrow I have my religious studies exam which I am not looking forward to, I went to enoug hrevision sessions for it, something must have gone into my head? I will be spending the rest of the night revision and tomorrow morning so I should be okay. This is the really nice card that came through the letter box today, its from my uncle wishing me good luck in my exams.

So my primary school was pretty tiny...I was on pretty much every sports team. Today while looking in my magical mystical drawers I found these. These are the medals that I won when I was at primary school. I was on the football, rugby, cricket and basketball team, I don't think we won very much, ever. I'm feeling pretty rough, I think I may have picked up a cold but I refuse to be ill for the last day of school and exams.

234 - the coolest number for the coolest thing I have in my house. This is a plasma ball, don't ask me how it works because as far as I am concerned...its magic. I am getting quite lazy with these photos these past few weeks so appologies there, I normally leave it too late and am too tired. I had my music exam today which went quite nicely actually,  but I ask you, would you consider this set work as music or noise?...Be warned, this piece has sudden changes in dynamics so do not listen with the volume turned up too loud or with headphones in.

"Well Jeff, I think we are going to need a bigger crane". Today was work day, I did all of my history homework in the morning and revised for my music in the afternoon, taking a break to beat my mum and dad at snooker which was nice. I am still revising now and will be for another hour. Yes, the yellow man in the picture survived from day #58. My dog is eating a lamb bone and I was not going to get too close thats for sure!

Day #232

There's only so much reminissing you can do over old stuff from the loft before the smell gets to you and you want to send it all to the tip. Today was spent at a revision class and then for the rest of the day helping my parents clean out what was in the loft, I also found my nintendo ds which I thought I had lost, I have promised myself I will not touch it until after my exams are finished. In the afternoon I went for a walk, found this dandy-lion, blew it and captured this shot all on my own, and I didn't even get lost.

And it was all yellow.  Today has a cheery kind of tone to it hopefully. Its Friday night, I've just beaten my dad at snooker 2 games to nothing and my new favourite band who I mentioned yesterday are playing on Jools Holland's programme tonight at ten to eleven, you might say I'm in a good mood. Also, today, my friend Taylor gave me his old Ipod touch for £20, its only a 1st generation but its 16GB that I can throw all my music into. Tomorrow I have a revision session in the morning then for the rest of the weekend I will be revisiong for my music exam on the Monday (that's the plan anyway...).

Day #230

Work makes you free but revision makes me bored. Tonight I was revising and listning to the radio (folk night at 7) and didn't have a photo for the day, I got the scrabble letters and spelt this out, I know its a very controversial saying but it didn't come from the disgusting and evil nazis, it actually came from German literature many years before and also French writings before that. Now thats cleared up I can carry on...I found a new band today that I am addicted to, once again, they are folk so be warned, this is The Punch Brothers with " Patchwork girlfriend". They are also on Jools Holland's show tomorrow night and have many other great songs.

Its 9 o' clock on a...Wednesday...Its going to be a long week. Today I'm feeling alot more de-stressed than yesterday, I had a good night's sleep and felt all refreshed then slowly things just kinda fell into perspective and finished my day off by listening to radio two's folk night from 7 til 8 which really helped to do my history work. Have a picture of a toy football in some water, not amazing but it just reminded me of when I used to play football for my old school.

Is it bad that I have two random black bits in my pupil? Today was the day that Ronnie O' Sullivan beat Ali Carter in the snooker world championship final, more importantly its the  day that I beat my dad at snooker, definately getting better. I took this photo of my eye and noticed that there are two black bits in the bottom right corner of my eye, I'm not sure if this is good ot bad but I can promise it is not photoshopped.

A new day, a new French president and two new water pictures. My family and I move house in a few weeks so we are de-cluttering the house, as a result of this, my bed has now gone up the tip, on the plus side we pulled out a bigger snooker table and I found somebody I can beat - my brother. Today's photos are of water splashing off a small circular mirrored pot, enjoy.

Thug life. Today my friends (and band mates) Solomon and Teddy came over to sort out a set list and to chill out after the revision morning at school. I schooled the boys at xbox, then at snooker, we made up for it in music and then went out for a walk. The first picture is a long exposure of Solomon's face going left to right, the second picture is teddy in long exposure and the third is boys being boys...well...Solomon being Solomon. It was pretty eventful and in all we took about 300 pictures, not all mug shots.

Its 'national star wars day' so May the fourth be with you. Tonight I thought I would go with the title of 'desk shinanigans', purely because I really wanted to use the word "shinanigans", I think it is my favourite word right now. Tonight I have been playing snooker with my dad where he won 2 games to 1 (I am getting better) and updating my flickr page. The first photo is 3 of my toy soldiers protecting my precious money, the second is of my dice (obviously).

Today, with exams coming up, my form tutor showed us one of the best inspirational and motivational speeches ever, clicking the link to the left of the comma will take you to it, it is definately something to watch, but be warned, by the end you will feel like you can do anything.

Drought? What drought? Tonight I got beaten by both my parents at snooker, so I wont go into too much detail there. I have spent the evening playing 'all along the watchtower' by Jimi Hendrix or Bob Dylan acoustically. Even with my croaky voice I think it still sounded pretty sweet.

221 days later and I still have not thought of something interesting to write. Today was just like most of the other days where nothing really happens, I got home, did an hour of revision, replayed my dad at snooker (he beat me for the third time), then played guitar. This is the guitar that I have not named yet so I am open to all ideas.
