Day #220

The move so fast that they are partly invisible. Right, trying to do today's blog post without falling into the euthamism trap. So yesterday, after watching the snooker on the television, I decided to find mine, which we got when I was very young. Two nights on the spot my dad and I have played snooker and both nights he has beaten me, not by much but still a loss.

Day #219

Oh wow, it really is water-proof. Today I thought what would be a better idea than water dripping on a watch, my watch did not say whether it was water proof or not but it didn't die on me which isn't too bad. In the afternoon, my parents and I went down to Sam fire hoe dressed in chinos, waist-coat, duffle coat and walking boots, god knows what I must have looked like.

Day #218

A chair is for sitting, or playing guitar on, but it is one of the most useful things I own. Today I had to wake up early to go to school for a revision session, it wasn't too bad but my friend Solomon slept through it so I think I did way more learning with my Saturday. Tomorrow I haven't got much planned but I think I might go for abit.

Day #217

Today after school it was sunny, the first time in a few days that it has been so. When I got in, I went walking which was abit too long, I think I bimble too much, tomorrow is Saturday, and I'm in school revising!

Until tomorrow (where it will be less brief, I promise)

Day #216

The digital switch over is coming, run, run for the hills. Tonight I realised that in June, my TV in my room will be useless, either my parents will buy me a digital magic box or I will have no television. This is the television that I was given for Christmas in 200, I remember it because once it was set up on boxing day, the news came on about the tsunami which effected thousands of people.

Day #215

Part of your childhood? It was for me. When I was a toddler, I knew it was bath time when I smelt this stuff, it smelt like nothing else, it was amazing. While in Tescos tonight with my mum I walked past and picked up a bottle, I could not believe that they did not have the original, I was furious, this is not the young man that I remember but I think this is just one of the many pirates that can be bought.

Day #214

An unreadable label for an unreadable mind...maybe. Today not much happened, I went to school, got a haircut, had a 'band meeting' and then played computer games until now where I will now be going to bed.

Until tomorrow

Day #213

Plastic insides of a plastic man, which I made when I was 7 years old. Today I didn't have much time for a photo so I went to my cupboard, something that I usually do when I panic at the end of the day to get a photo and I found an Egyptian style box with the inscription "Thou who touches the tomb let death come on swift wings", it was the mummy that I had made when I was about 7 and I haven't opened it ever which is nice because death on swidt wings does not sound good. The photo today is of the plastic insides that came with the model.

Day #212

Please forgive me for the lack of blog for the past 4 days, don't be sad, I did that splashing thing you said you liked and I even brought you a flower. Okay, so I was redoing the days I had missed the past few days and I was on a role so hey, I did today's too. I cut the grass today and then found out that I got a B in my chemistry module, which for me is pretty good because me and science do not go very well together, I think it shows what I can do when I learn the wrong information off of a BBC bitesize website and then just guess in the actual exam.

Day #211

In a world without internet, boredom creeps in. Today (Saturday 22nd April) I was very very bored, I can often spend hours on the internet and I rely on it for guitar music (which takes up alot of my time). I revised until the early afternoon then played xbox on a game called 'Half life', I might say it is one of the best games ever. The first picture is the wireless remote I use for my camera, for only £2 on amazon and the second is my xbox controller.

Day #210

The gig, the guy and the big (tiny) break. Today it was gig night, my folk band ( featuring in 'Day #208', consisting of myself on guitar and vocals, Solomon on vocals and Teddy on bouzouki) played at Deal folk club which is a really nice enviroment for bands starting out. We played our first song in the first half which was 'Little lion man' by Mumford and sons, which didn't go terribly but could have gone better. It then came to the second half and we thought we were finished for the evening, then our names were called out again - luckily we had another song "Rattlin bog" which was a traditional folk song, it went really well and we had the whole room singing by the end. Afterwards as we were packing up to leave, a guy in a hat (the hat was critical information...) caught up with teddy and gave him his card, we have been invited to play a full 20 minute slot at a folk festival this August, I will post the details when I get more.

Until tomorrow

Day #209

The internet is back up and running, time to catch up on the blog, if I can remember what happened on each day correctly and if my readers haven't abandoned me for a  blog writter by someone with super speed internet. Today (Thurday 19th April) I don't think I did very much, the photo for today is of one the only surviving lego men from 'Day #84' which is where the background for the blog comes from, he is staring at a message on the screen saying "No internet connection found", I knew I should have paid attention to the message.

Until tomorrow (which I will write in a few minutes time)

Appology (I have not given up)

Dear my loyal viewers, I am sorry that I have not updated the blog since Wednesday but there is a good reason. My internet has sadly died, there was a power surge and the hub now does not work. We should have internet back soon and I have taken the photos I need on the appropriate days so as soon as I get the internet back, I will get back up to date, I also have some very exciting news to tell so watch this space for that.

Until very soon my friends

Will :)

Day #208

A combination of a black and white setting and a very flustered Will. Tonight my friends Solomon and Teddy came round (the people, not the fish) and we practiced a couple of songs for a folk club we are playing at, the photo isn't the best and I think Solomon took it but hey, it was a good evening.

Until tomorrow

Day #207

Feed the fish or stare at the creepy doll face. Today while I was flicking through my blog, I thought I would mix it up abit, whats more mixed up than putting two fish on your blog that viewers can feed whenever they come on? Today's picture is the creepy doll that was in my mum's cupboard, it used to be in my room at our old house and really scared me, it spins round and plays 'twinkle twinkle'. I swear the doll is plotting to kill me, I just know it. If you are interested in the fish, they are just under the picture of me, click anywhere and it drops some food, then the fish swim to it, keep them fed please.

Day #206

Hey, where'd that extra string on my violin come from? Today my new string came for the new vioolin that I broke within about 2 hours of having it. A very quick one today. The photo above is actually music written for guitar next to my violin (and who said I had bad photo composition?), if anybody spotted this, kudos. Below is a link to a guy's music that I have been listening to alot of, its kind of folk so be warned.

Day #205

Its sunday night and its school tomorrow, a walk to the coast and back is in order. Today I made a video with the help of my friends Arthur and Teddy, its a short film where I'm the main character but I also dont appear much in it. There is some strong language in it, I think the "F word" is said four times, sorry if it offends anyone. The video is abit badly made but hey, its worth it just for the bloopers at the end I think. Where's Will? << The link. I also walked from my villiage to Dover which is about 8 km and then back again, the picture above is one of the sheep I came across on the journey, I even stroked its head (yeah, I'm brave!).

Until tomorrow

Will :)

Saturday 14 April 2012

Day #204

Its Saturday night which means playing the game 'Snake' on Youtube and watching 'Casualty' on television. Today I was in Folkestone with my friend Arthur playing football and chilling in the sun. The picture above is where we play football on the Leas. We also made a horror film with our friend Teddy which I will hopefully upload the link tomorrow.

Until then

Will :)

Day #203

You know you are bored when you start trying to make 'Microsoft Sam' rap. Today after a morning's history revision, my mum and I took the dog for a walk and she trusted me with a map, yes even after 'Day #192' (the day I got hopelessly lost and had to be picked up by my laughing parents).

Until tomorrow

Day #202

I swear its the hardest instrument to learn. Today I bought a violing, £79 with everything included. I got home, played it for 2 minutes and realised it was harder than I thought. I got more frustrated because I realised that its not like self teaching guitar. After trying and failing a good few times I decided it was the violin's fault and tried retuning it, this annoyed me again because you tune a violin differently to a guitar so I had to do it by ear, what do you know, I snapped the string. I've now ordered a brand new set of strings for £4 so I will not give up!

Thank you to my new viewers from outside of the UK, much appreciated

Until tomorrow

Will :)

Day #201

£28 for a violin with all the bits thrown in, too good to be true? Today I mainly revised and played video games (again) in the evening we went to Dover where I took this picture of the pier, I got home and I am now searching for best prices on violins as I am suddenly interested in learning it.

Until tomorrow

Will :)

Day #200

Today I successfully trimmed my overgrown eyebrows. Today I managed to shave half an eyebrow off. As you can see from the picture, the eyebrow on my right now only comes 3/4 of the way across my eye. (If you are not crying with laughter or saying "oh Will" right now...why not? I'm missing half a frigging eyebrow). It happened because as I was midway through shaving my cheeks and upper lip I realised that it would be a good idea to get rid of the underneath of my eyebrows, what I did not realise is that I would have to shut the eye to do it, one eyed I tried and when I opened it I realised that half of the eyebrow was now gone, a quick "oh my god" was let out and I now await its grow-back. If you look at me from the left now (until the eyebrow grows back), I will look like a perfectly normal teenage boy, however if you look at me from the right, I will now look like I am frowning...all of the time.

Until tomorrow (where I will try not to shave the other eyebrow off)

Day #199

This is my guitar strap and yes I know what you are thinking, I am just too cool. Today I have been revising and playing video games, a nice balance between the two, really. I was rushing around trying to find something interesting when I found this, its my old guitar strap that used to be on my electric before it started giving me electric shocks (long story), I am now going to put this back on because the one that is on now is a boring purple strap. From the 'Jolly Roger' to Jolly Will.

Until tomorrow

Day #198

An egg-citing blog post because its Easter. Today I recieved enough chocolate to last a lifetime. Just a quick photo today because I am so tired, I also got £40 which I will now put towards a new lens for my camera.

Happy Easter

Until tomorrow (where the blog post will be longer)

Day #197

Four photos today for when four of the 'Inglis' family's brothers came together. Today two of my brothers from further up north came down to see me and my other brother that lives in Canterbury (Trust me, it really isn't as complicated as I make it sound). In the early afternoon we went for a walk on Deal seafront and I took my camera, I have to be honest, I thought all the pictures I took would be duds but they didn't turn out too badly in the end. The first picture is the flag on the 'RLNI's lifeboat station. The second picture is a bike hiring company's bike in the middle of the beach. The third picture is a sign I saw that made me do a second take because I couldn't quite take it seriously. The fourth picture is courtesy of my brother Tom who spotted this man looking out to sea and suggested I took the photo.

Hope you are enjoying the blog so far :)

Until tomorrow

Day #196

Will walks into a bar...No bad joke, just a great evening. Tonight I have been at a folk club in Deal, it was abit wierd at first because I was pretty much the youngest there, but then I realised that actually it was quite nice. Its essentially an open mic. event where anyone can get up and sing or play an instrument and next time I go I think I will get some people together to play. Midway and my brother, his girlfriend, my dad and I won the raffle...twice, not too bad.

Until tomorrow (Ten minutes time)

Day #195

The awkward moment when I look down during a revision session, see my chinos, but because they are a baige colour, I suddenly think I am wearing no trousers at all and stand up to check. Yep, my life. Today I woke up early again to go into school for a four hour revision session, it wasn't all bad though, I met my friend Alex before hand and we got Mcdonalds breakfast (with a coffe fix to wake me up). In the car home I heard some quite sad news that the legendary inventor of 'Marshall' amps died today. 88 years old, Jim Marshall was a pioneer in music technology. Slash (The lead guitarist from 'Guns n' roses') said that without Jim Marshall, rock and roll would not be the same and I think I agree with him. The first picture is of a t-shirt I found in my cupboard which has some sweet anime on it, the second is of some Haribo sweets, and everybody loves Haribo!

Until tomorrow

Day #194

A catch up session that turned into exploring hidden parts of the school. Today I had to go into school to catch up on some ICT work that I had to do in order to get a half decent grade, halfways through, the teacher said "who wants to go to the top of the old tower?", this is a place that is off limits all the time and its a place I have wanted to go up and take photos from since I got to the school, it was pretty cool, its the bit of the school where the flag is if you look at our building. After my ICT exploration session was finished I got the bus over to Folkestone to meet my friend Arthur, we played football for most of the day and took our cameras, I'm a Nikon man however he prefers Canon. The first picture is Arthur's 'Canon EOS 550 D', the second is a view over the edge of the tower, as a person thats scared of heights the photo is an achievement, however appologies for having my hand in the shot, I couldn't take my hand off the wall. The third is our teacher just after taking down the flag, with clear skies and the sun beating down, I could have spent all day up there.

Until tomorrow

Day #193

Look at the pretty pennies, I count them all day long. Today I revised more RE until about 4 o' clock where I went for another walk, with the same map... with different consequences. I forgot to mention yesterday that after the whole ordeal of me getting lost in some woods just outside a villiage called Ringwould, my parents now taunt me relentlessly, which included last night when I went down to get a drink of my water and my parents jointly said "Try not to get lost on the way", cheers guys, cheers.

Hope you are enjoying the blog so far :)

Until tomorrow

Monday 2 April 2012

Day #192

Will goes walk-abouts. The afternoon today was spent revising and so after two hours of revision I decided to try and walk from my villiage to the coast which is about 5 miles, all was going well until I reached a villiage called "Ringwould", the roads were not a problem, I looked abit wierd carrying my camera equipment and a map fully folded out, but I can deal with wierd. After 30 minutes of walking through very creepy and seemingly seedy woods, I realised that the sunlight was fleeting and I will admit now to all you blog readers that I am afraid of walking through wooded areas in the dark. I was lost in these wierd woods and I needed to get to a point where I could see where I was and figure out where I went wrong, When I got to a main road I was still lost so my dad recieved a call where I pretty much had to tell him I was on a random road and he had to guess where I was, fun evening and I didn't even get a single photo while I was out. Nature-1 Will-0.

Until tomorrow

Day #191

My new bike...April fools. Today was spent sleeping, eating and walking. As the family and I walkd along the cliffs we came to an abandoned shooting range and this shadow of a bike was painted onto a wall, it blew my mind.

Until tomorrow
